Our funds

About each of the Community Investment Program funds, status, and additional fund materials.

Core Fund

Status: Closed

The purpose of the Community Investment Program Core funding is to improve the ability of organizations to serve Peel’s most vulnerable residents in times of need. By investing in Core funding, community agencies can develop, maintain, and improve programs, service delivery and overall outcomes.

Capacity Fund

Status: closed

The Community Investment Program recognizes that capacity building supports not-for-profit agencies to be agile and responsive to changes in the environment. Capacity Fund is designed to support organizational capacity building activities and tools to strengthen Peel’s not-for-profit sector, and to provide optimal programs and services to the most vulnerable members of our community.

Small Capital Fund

Status: closed

The purpose of the Small Capital Fund is to improve the Operational Capacity of not for profits that align with the Human Service Outcomes to support residents of Peel. Funding is available for small capital purchases that enhance service delivery.

Food Security Fund

Status: closed

A one-time investment through the 2024 Food Security Emergency Response Fund, allocated to 8 targeted food bank and warehouse distribution models, expanding the capacity to aid Peel’s emergency food crisis by leveraging existing food procurement infrastructure and networks to expand access to emergency food for vulnerable residents.

Throughout 2024, the Community Investment Program will continue to monitor the emergency food crisis and develop a longer-term plan to support the sector in 2025.

Food providers in Peel, should connect with the Feed Ontario lead in their municipality if they require assistance responding to local emergency food crisis.

Change Fund

Status: closed

The Change Fund is designed to support collaborative projects and initiatives that respond to community issues impacting Peel’s residents and neighbourhoods with a view towards addressing complex community and system level issues that align to Regional Priorities.

We recognize that change happens within and across sectors. Authentic collaborative work is encouraged amongst agencies that have a common agenda to create a collective impact to support meaningful and lasting change in the community.
