Sanitary sewer replacement and improvement
Hyacinthe Boulevard. Project 22-1310E
Peel Region has been working in your neighbourhood to replace the aging sanitary sewer along Hyacinthe Boulevard. This work is required to maintain and improve existing wastewater services.
At this stage in the project, a temporary road closure will be required to complete this work.
Traffic impacts
- Hyacinthe Boulevard will be closed to all through traffic from Cawthra Road to Breckenridge Road. This temporary road closure is expected to occur from Monday April 29th until Friday May 10th, 2024.
A detour route will be clearly marked with road signs. Residents who live on the street will have access to their homes. Access to businesses will be maintained. No through traffic will be allowed and there will be no on-street parking.
- It will be necessary to dig a temporary trench in the eastbound lane of Hyacinthe Boulevard at Cawthra Road, the work area requiring temporary road closure and a detour route along Breckenridge Road is shown on the attached map.
For this reason, it will not be possible to turn left or right from Cawthra Road onto Hyacinthe Boulevard.
During this time, traffic will be directed by police officers or flag persons. Emergency service vehicles and school buses will be permitted to cross through the closure with guidance from the onsite contractor.
