Update on construction in your area
Indian Grove. Project 13-1347 H1
The Region of Peel has replaced the aging watermain on Indian Grove as part of our maintenance program. The previous watermain was installed in the 1950s and was at the end of its lifespan.
A larger watermain that provides water to the Lorne Park area was installed along with the smaller (local) watermain on Indian Grove. The local watermain is on one side of the street with the larger watermain on the opposite side of the street.
Completed work
The Contractor has:
- Completed paving driveways and driveway aprons
- Paved Indian Grove and Indian Road
Coming up in the next two weeks
The Contractor will:
- Repair non-asphalt driveways (such as interlock or concrete driveways) including reinstalling paving stone borders of asphalt driveways.
- Grade and prepare boulevards and lawns to lay sod (grass). Laying of sod is weather dependent. In the case of extremely hot weather, this work may be delayed until weather is cooler.
- Restore any landscaping features damaged by our watermain construction activities.
Reducing the impact of construction
- For everyone’s safety, please take care and slow down when driving through the active construction area. It is safer if residents access their property from the south end of Indian Grove if their property is south of the active construction area, and from the north end if their property is north of construction.
- If we must shut off your water because of an emergency, we will do everything we can to fix the problem as quickly as possible.
- We will let you know if there are any significant project changes.
