Watermain Replacement and Improvement
Notice of road paving. Kenpark Avenue and Mintwood Court. Projects 21-1340 B
The Region of Peel and City of Brampton will be repairing the road where it was disturbed by our recent watermain construction.
Schedule
We expect the first phase of paving activities (base asphalt paving along the watermain trench) to take place on Kenpark Avenue and Mintwood Court between August 15, 2022 and August 26, 2022 weather permitting. The second phase (top asphalt) is expected to take place between August 29, 2022 and September 9, 2022.
Regular working hours will be between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Driveway access
You may not have access to your driveway for a short time as the paving operation crosses your driveway.
Road access
Work will be phased to minimize traffic disruption in the area.
Parking
Please do not park on the street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. when paving is scheduled for your street. Please ensure the road is cleared of vehicles (and any type of materials) at these times. To provide an alternate parking location, we have arranged for a street parking enforcement exemption from the City of Brampton for Kenpark Avenue. This exemption is valid until September 15, 2022. Please note that all other parking laws remain in place, including proper clearance from hydrants and stop signs.
Safety during construction
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible.
