Watermain construction and sanitary sewer rehabilitation
Intersection of Remembrance Drive and Robert Parkinson Drive. Project 20-1177
Peel Region is working in your neighborhood to improve the water distribution system at the intersection of Remembrance Drive and Robert Parkinson Drive.
Some upcoming work will take place on Sunday September 10th, 2023, to eliminate all safety concerns to the public and students at the nearby school. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences caused by this work.
A temporary closure of the intersection of Remembrance Drive and Robert Parkinson Drive will be required to complete this work.
Traffic impacts
The intersection of Remembrance Drive and Robert Parkinson Drive will be closed to all through traffic once again. This temporary road closure will only be necessary for one day. Signage will be available for detour route directions.
Please note that transit buses will also be impacted, please check bramptontransit.com for detour routing and additional information regarding bus stop impacts during the closure.
Emergency service vehicles and school buses will be permitted to cross through the closure with guidance from the onsite contractor.We apologize for any delays or inconvenience resulting from these traffic impacts.
Noise
We do not anticipate significant noise or vibrations above normal daytime construction levels during these operations. Efforts will be made to reduce impacts to residents as much as possible.
Safety during construction
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible.
