Watermain construction and sanitary sewer rehabilitation
Coleraine Drive. Project 20-1177
Peel Region will be working in your neighborhood to install new watermains and rehabilitate the existing sanitary sewer system along Coleraine Drive. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water and wastewater services.
To complete this work, Coleraine Drive will be closed to all through traffic during construction. Residents and businesses within the closures will still have access to their properties.
Traffic impacts
This work will be completed in two phases:
- Phase 1: Coleraine Drive is currently closed to all through traffic from Mayfield Road to Countryside Drive. This temporary road closure is expected to remain in place until September 2023.
- Phase 2: Coleraine Drive will be closed to all through traffic from Countryside Drive to Regional Road 50 (Hwy 50). This temporary road closure is expected to start the week of May 8 until September 2023. During this time, a detour route will be clearly marked with road signs. Please see the attached map for the detour route for Phase 2. Completing this work will require fully closing the southbound lane of Coleraine Drive, therefore residents and business owners within the closed portion of Coleraine Drive will ONLY be able to access their properties from the south. No through traffic will be allowed. The northbound lane will be directed by a flag person or Peel Police during construction hours.
Please expect delays and choose alternate routes if possible.
