Road Resurfacing in West Brampton

Intersection of Queen Street West and James Potter Road Project 18-1357

Peel Region will undertake pavement resurfacing in your area, focusing on the intersection of Queen Street West and James Potter Road to repair deteriorating road conditions. This work is necessary to improve the quality of the roadway for improved travel. Road closures and lane reductions will be required to complete this work.

Traffic impacts

Stage 1 and 2: Partial Road Closures (May 13, 2024)

To prepare for new asphalt, we must excavate, remove, and dispose of the pavement in the intersection. As a result, northbound, southbound, and left-turning traffic on James Potter Road will be restricted. E astbound and westbound traffic on Queen Street West will be reduced to a single lane in each direction with restricted left-turning movements.

Stage 3: Full Road Closure (May 14, 2024)

The intersection of Queen Street West and James Potter Road will be temporarily closed from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Please expect delays and choose alternate routes if possible. A detour map is enclosed for your reference. During this closure, police officers or flag persons will be onsite to direct traffic. Emergency service vehicles will be permitted to cross through the closure with guidance from police officers or the on-site contractor.

We apologize for any delays or inconvenience resulting from these traffic impacts.
