Watermain and sanitary sewer replacement and improvement

Humberwest Pkwy and Queen St East at Goreway Dr. Project 18-1169

Peel Region has been working in your neighbourhood to install watermains and sanitary sewers along Queen Street East. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water and wastewater services.

At this stage in the project, a temporary lane reduction will be required from January 15th to February 23rd.

Traffic Impacts

  • Northbound Humberwest Parkway will be reduced to two lanes from Queen Street East to just south of Goreway Drive.
    • The multi-use path / sidewalk in this area will remain open with partial diversion to the curb lane.
  • The Brampton Transit bus stops in this area will remain unaffected, including:
    • Goreway Drive Route 5: Stop ID 2485.
    • Humberwest Parkway Route 5: Stop ID 2486.
  • Two lanes of traffic in each direction will remain open at all times, unless notified otherwise.
  • Digital road signs will remain in place throughout the work and will be updated accordingly.

Please expect delays and choose alternate routes if possible.
