Watermain and sanitary sewer replacement and improvement

Queen St East at Goreway Dr/Humberwest Pkwy intersection to 180m east of intersection. Project 18-1169

Peel Region has been working in your neighbourhood to install watermains and sanitary sewers along Queen Street East. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water and wastewater services.

At this stage in the project, work is approaching the intersection of Queen St East at Goreway Drive/Humberwest Parkway Intersection (along Queen St between the intersection to 180m east of intersection), and as such will require occupation of additional lanes and the use of a paid-duty officer, as required, during working hours.

Traffic Impacts

  • Westbound Queen St East dedicated right-turn lane at Humberwest Parkway (from the Queen St/Humberwest Pkwy intersection to 180m east along Queen St) is expected to be closed from Monday, January 8, 2024 at 7 a.m. to mid-February 2024.
  • An additional through lane will be closed during daytime working hours within this area and will be reopened at night.
  • All turning directions and a minimum of two westbound through lanes will be maintained at all times.
  • A paid-duty officer will be available as the work approaches the intersection.
  • The Brampton Transit bus stops in this area will not be affected due to this work.
  • PVMS boards will remain in place for the duration of this work and will be updated accordingly.

Please expect delays and choose alternate routes if possible.

We apologize for any delays or inconvenience resulting from these traffic impacts.
