Watermain and sanitary sewer replacement and improvement

Peel Region has been working in your neighbourhood to install watermains and sanitary forcemains along Queen Street East. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water and wastewater services.

At this stage in the project, a temporary one-day lane reductions will be required to facilitate completion of this work.

Traffic impacts

• Northbound Goreway Drive/Humberwest Parkway will be reduced to two lanes from just north of Auction Lane to just north of Queen Street East. This lane reduction is expected to occur on October 2nd only.
• The multi-use path/sidewalk in this area will be fully closed on October 2nd only. Pedestrian detour signs will be placed at Auction Lane/Goreway Drive and Humberwest Parkway/Goreway Drive.
• The Brampton Transit bus stop in this vicinity that will not be affected:
• Goreway Drive Route 5 Stop ID 2485.
• Humberwest Parkway Route 5 Stop ID 2486.
• Two lanes of traffic in each direction will be provided at all times, unless notified otherwise.
• PVMS boards will continue in place throughout the works and will be updated accordingly.

Please expect delays and choose alternate routes if possible.
