We are monitoring our progress towards the 2034 target of 75% and the Region of Peel has developed a Roadmap to a Circular Economy which includes 17 actions that, together, would achieve Councils reduction, reuse, and recycling (3Rs) target of 75 diversion by 2034.

The 0.5 decline from 2015 is likely the result of the change to bi-weekly garbage collection during this period. The schedule will be more consistent now and allow residents to become more accustomed to the schedule.
