Housing and Shelter

We offer several programs to help if you need to:

  • Receive housing subsidy
  • Find shelter if you are homeless
  • Renovate your home to make it more accessible

Apply for housing subsidy

If you can't afford the cost of rent, you can apply for more affordable housing where part of your rent is paid for.

Keep your spot on the housing subsidy centralized wait list

If you've applied for housing subsidy and you are on the wait list, you let us know if there are any changes to your contact and personal information so we can keep your place in line.

Find a shelter

Locate a shelter and other housing support services, and access other emergency options.

Help paying for past-due bills or rent

If you are behind in paying your bills, you may be able to get one-time financial help.

Peel housing and homelessness plan

The 2018 to 2028 plan sets the direction our work to increase affordable housing and prevent homelessness.

Appeal a decision

If you would like us to review a decision, you can request an appeal.

Housing developers, non-profit and community partners

If you are a housing developer or community organization interested in building new affordable housing in Peel, learn about the Region's grant programs, projects underway, and access to strategy reports.

Housing providers

If you are a housing provider of affordable or subsidized housing in Peel, access the centralized wait list and resources to help you provide training.
